  • The Adventist Church has great respect for the writings of one of its founders Ellen White.

There is much ilinformed opinion about her on the Internet. Is she the ‘Joseph Smith of the Adventist Church’ or an old fashioned out of date eccentric – or is the truth very different from either.

    • Real-Life Ellen White - This is a 7-hour seminar (7 talks/sermons) on Ellen White with George Knight, emeritus professor of church history at Andrews University and Jon Paulien previously professor of New Testament Interpretation at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University USA and currently dean of the Faculty of Religion at Loma Linda University USA. It was held at the Paradise Adventist Church on January 11-12. 2011. This powerful seminar focused on two key questions: Who was Ellen White, and how do we use her writings in a biblical way? In sermon 6, Jon concentrates the problems with sharing the Christian gospel with young adults of the post-modern generation and possible approaches. All well worth listening to. Go down to the heading Real-Life Ellen White on the Paradise Adventist church resource page.
